Triflex is harder and very resistant to breakage compared to a stainless steel blade. It is also easy to light a fire with a Triflex blade and a fire steel.

The basic Mora Woodcarving knife. With an unpainted handle and a leather sheath. The laminated carbon steel blade is about 3 7/8" (98 mm) long, 11/16" (17.5 mm) wide, and about .105" (2.7 mm) thick. The handle is unfinished birch which can be stained and finished as you wish, or just used as it comes.
